About the Person Behind the Camera

Hi there, my name is Kayla Denise "Hints" KD Photography. I was raised in the rural town of Duette, FL and recently relocated to the Umatilla, FL area just southeast of Ocala. I have always been the person behind the camera since as far back as I can remember. I started with basic film cameras and VHS camcorders, taking pictures and recording everything growing up. I have always had a true passion for photography, and it continues to grow.

I am a married to my wonderful husband and biggest supporter Joseph Cotton. We have been together since August 2007 and got married in August 2012. We have three stubborn but amazing children, Eli, Danakah and Lyla. We also have four fur babies Marsha, Lagatha, Floki and Darla. My husband and kids do accompany me to my photoshoots at times and assist if needed.

I'd say photography isn't the only thing I enjoy, but no matter what I am doing or where I am at, my camera is in my hand. I love watching my daughter's softball games, taking the jeep to the woods and riding for hours away from civilization, and hanging out with family, and friends, that have become family.

I do have goals to expand into newborn and eventually wedding photography at some point in my career. Hopefully in the near future!
